Our HISTORY
Serving the Industry Since 1966
Born from the rapid rise of intensive farming in 1960s Ireland, our roots lie in the establishment of the Monaghan Veterinary Laboratory in 1966. Originally created to provide diagnostic services and preventative medicine for pig and poultry producers, we quickly realized that identifying health issues was only half the battle; farmers needed immediate access to remedies to prevent financial loss. To bridge the gap between diagnosis and treatment, Agrihealth Ltd. was formed, evolving from a laboratory into a dedicated trading company focused on ensuring essential veterinary preparations were readily available to the agricultural community.
From these humble beginnings, we expanded rapidly, establishing a Northern Ireland branch in 1973 and broadening our portfolio to include a comprehensive range of over 2,500 animal health products and veterinary equipment. By prioritizing professionalism, product quality, and technical support, we became innovators in merchandising to co-ops and merchants. This drive for success led to continuous modernization, including the acquisition of Vetigal Ltd. in 2005 and a move to a purpose-built 25,000 sq. ft. facility in Lurgan in 2008, solidifying our commitment to serving the entire livestock industry across the UK and Ireland.
