This page is to provide information and updates on Agrihealth’s response to the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak.  As this is a developing situation we would suggest you check this page regularly for updates.

24th April 2020 – Working hard to continue our service during COVID-19

At Agrihealth we are continuously working to meet the challenges posed by COVID-19.  We are adapting our working environment and processes to meet these challenges and our dedicated staff has been making many changes to how and where we work.

As an essential business operating during these trying times, our staff are making huge efforts to ensure our product & service supply lines remain open and accessible to all customers. The supply of animal medication, biosecurity, and welfare products among others are key to the assurance of the food supply chain. We will continue to do everything in our power to maintain the supply.

1st April 2020 – PPE Donation

Today the Agrihealth Group is proud to be able to make a donation of PPE equipment including masks, gowns, gloves and other protective equipment. We hope these will help in supporting frontline teams at various hospitals and other frontline healthcare services including Cavan General Hospital, Monaghan Primary Care Services, Monaghan General Hospital, Pro Paramedics and Antrim Hospital. At this challenging time we must all play our part and help in any way large or small.

23rd March 2020 – Service update

Agrihealth Veterinary Services recognise the seriousness of COVID-19 and also that farmers and the Agri-food sector require a veterinary service to maintain food supplies to the nation. Since Monday 16th March we have taken steps to protect the health of clients, staff and their families. Having examined the various risks it is clear that it is important to reduce the numbers of people mixing on our premises.

We will be taking the lead in Agrihealth Veterinary Services regarding COVID-19. This plan outlined may be subject to changes depending on restrictions put in place by the government in the coming days and weeks.

– Please call ahead if you need to collect products from the shop or veterinary office. This will ensure that items are assembled and ready to collect on arrival.
– When you are coming please make sure it is one person. If you have children please do not bring them.
– Clients should enter the shop or veterinary office one at a time to minimise the risk of either picking up or spreading the virus. If you see another client in the office or shop please wait outside     until they leave.
– If you are unwell and need products we will make the necessary arrangements to meet your needs in confidence. Call 047 71900 or 047 71800.
– The office staff will remain 2 meters back from clients at the counter and will be wearing gloves to reduce risk to both themselves, to you and your families.
– If you are unable to come in – be it that you are unwell or you wish to self-isolate – we will do everything we can to help.
– Medications can be left in the boiler house opposite the shop for collection by prior arrangement.
– We all have loved ones in the vulnerable category so every effort must be made to reduce the potential spread of COVID-19 so that the health service is not overwhelmed with cases over the      coming weeks.
– Most important of all, stay safe, minimise contact with others and wash your hands regularly.

To conclude – we will get through this. We will look after each other, we will be kind to each other, we will do all that we have to do to protect the vulnerable.

All the best,
Ciaran Cunningham / PJ O’ Reilly
